Aloo Parwal (potato and pointed gourd) Recipe
Ingredients:
250 gms Parwal (Pointed Gourd)
2 Potato
1 tsp. chopped Garlic
1/2 tsp. Panch Phoran Mix
1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp. Mustard Oil (Any oil)
Making Aloo Parwal:
- Cut the potatoes lengthways into slices.
- Peel the parwal and slice each into 4 pieces lengthwise.
- Then heat oil in the a wide pan and add the phoran mixture. When it begins to pop, add cut garlic. Sauté garlic till it gets golden brown afterwards add sliced potatoes. Saute them for 4 to 5 minutes on low heat , then add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- Now add parwal pieces. Mix well, cover and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes or till the parwal and potatoes are cooked.
- Remove it in a dish and serve it with chapati or rice and curd.
