Stuffed Capsicum

How To Make Stuffed Capsicum Recipe


5-6 Capsicum (simlamirch)
2 boiled potatoes
2 tbsp. boiled green peas
1 Onion finely chopped
1/4th tsp. turmeric powder
Red chili powder to taste
1/4th tsp. Garam masala
1/4th tsp Dry mango powder (amchur)
Salt To Taste
Oil/ghee for frying

Making Stuffed Capsicum :

  • Rinse the capsicum and boil them entirely till they are tender, drain the water and keep them on the side to cool.
  • Mush the boiled potatoes.
  • Take a pan heat 2-tbsp oil/ghee and add sliced onion and saute till it turns light brown.
  • Then add all spices, mashed potatoes and peas and mix for few minutes.
  • Take a sharp knife and cut the stem of the capsicum and remove the seeds from the top carefully and add the filling in it.
  • Take take oil/ghee in a pan and cook the stuffed capsicums on all edges and sides.
  • Decorate the stuffed capsicum with grated paneer (cottage cheese), chopped coriander leaves and thinly sliced tomato. Serve it hot.
