rajma (kidney beans)- 200 gms
cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
onions (medium-sized and chopped ) – 3 nos.
fresh tomato puree – 1 cup
ginger paste – 1 tblsp
green chillies (chopped)- 3-4 nos.
cumin seeds powder – 1 tsp
coriander powder  – 1/2 tsp
red chilli powder -1 tsp
salt  – to taste
oil  – 2 tblsp
curd – 1/4 cup
green coriander leaves – 2 tblsp

Making Rajma Rasmisa :

  • Clean, wash and soak the rajma entire night.
  • Boil the soaked rajma till it becomes soft and well cooked.
  • Warm oil in a pan, add cumin seeds.
  • When it sizzles, add chopped onions.
  • Sauté it till it becomes light golden brown in color.
  • Then add ginger paste and garlic paste and cook it lightly.
  • Next add the tomato puree and mix it well.
  • Now add the green chilies, cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, curd and salt.
  • Cook the masala for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Add the rajma (kidney beans), mix it well and pour half a cup of water.
  • Let it cook for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Decorate with green coriander leaves.
