Navratan Korma


Navratan Korma is a mix of 9 vegetables and dryfruits with panner, Learn How to make Navratan Korma Recipe step by step

Ingredients:

3 cups – Boiled vegetables (9 different varieties-potatoes, carrots, green peas, french beans, cauliflower, capsicum, cabbage, bottle gourd, cluster beans)
150 gms – Paneer
3 – Tomatoes
2 – Grated onions
1 1/2 tsp. -Ginger paste
1 1/2 tsp. – Garlic paste
Salt To Taste
1 tsp. – Turmeric Powder
1 1/2 tsp. – Red chilli powder
1 tsp. – Coriander powder
2 tsp. – Garam Masala Powder
2 tbsp. – Cream
6 tbsp. – Vegetable oil
1 tbsp. – Ghee
1 cup – Milk / water
1/4 cup – Dry fruits (cashew nuts, raisins)
Coriander for Garnish

Making Navratan Korma :

  • Firstly bring to boil the tomatoes till tender. Keep them aside to cool. Then peel the tomato skin and make a puree. Tomato puree from the market can also be used.
  • Put 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and shallow fry the dry fruits for not more than 1 min on medium heat.
  • Heat oil in another pan, Fry onions and ginger-garlic paste till it gets light brown.
  • Put salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and shallow fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Then mix tomato puree and dry fruits. Mix well and cook the mixture for about 4 minutes. Make sure that the mixture does not  stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour water. Bring it to boil. Decrease the heat and cook till the gravy has become thick.
  • Add the grated paneer to the gravy and mix well.
  • Lastly add all the vegetables mentioned into the gravy and let it cook for 5to 7 minutes.
  • Serve this amazing Navratan Korma hot. Add cream and coriander leaves on the navaratna korma to garnish .
