Masala Koki Recipe

 

Masala Koki is a delicious spicy and flavored flat bread made commonly in Sindhi culture here you can learn the sindhi style koki recipe, it is filled with onion and Indian spices which can be and amazing snack or breakfast dish.

Ingredients:

2 Cup Wheatflour
1 Onion (finely chopped)
1-2 Green Chillies (finely chopped)
2 tblsp coriander & mint leaves (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
Salt to taste
2 1/2 tblsp Desi Ghee
Ghee or Oil to roast the koki (roti)

Making Masala Koki:

  • Combine and mix wheat flour, onions, green chili, cumin seeds, salt, mint & coriander leaves, red chili powder, two 1/2 tblsp.  Pure ghee and knead to make a firm dough by adding some amount of water.
  • Make identical round portions out of this dough (around about six)
  • Roll out each dough piece in a round shape of roti or flat taco and pierce it with fork all over to make it cook uniformly.
  • Heat a pan and add it with some ghee.
  • Smoothly place the rolled out koki on it and cook/roast it from both sides equally by putting ghee.
  • Serve this delicious masala koki hot combined with curd or chutneys.
