Kesar Kaju Burfi Recipe (Saffron Cashewnuts Burfi)

Kesar Kaju Burfi


500 gms Kaju(cashewnuts)
300 gms sugar
1/2 tsp kesar(saffron)
1/4 tsp orange color

Making Kesar(Saffron) Burfi:

  • Soak the cashew nuts in water for 180 minutes. Drain the water and grind the cashew nuts fine.
  • In a large pan blend sugar, cashew nuts, and roast on low heat, stirring continuously.
  • Mix saffron and orange color in it. Cook till it is done.
  • On the flat board place butter paper and empty the mix on it.
  • Then place another butter paper, on top of the mix, sandwiching the mixture between the two papers.
  • Roll it with rolling pin.
  • Take out the butter paper from top, and then cut the kesar(saffron) burfi  in pieces.
